Martha will give us an unparalleled vision of Early America. Her diary of almost 10,000 entries spans from January 1, 1785 to May 12, 1812 (27 years). Her themes include: the Purrinton Murders; Premarital Pregnancy; Scarlet Fever Epidemic; Martha Ballard and Money; Courtship and Marriage; Dissection; Textile Production.
